1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Red Sea Restaurant & Bar Android application handles information. The application is designed as a local-first restaurant guide and planning utility for Red Sea Restaurant and Bar LLC in the United States.
3. Information collected by the app
The app does not operate a remote account system and does not automatically collect or transmit personal information to a Red Sea server.
When you voluntarily use local forms, the app may store information you type on your device, including:
- Name and phone number entered for a local pickup request
- Preferred pickup time and optional pickup notes
- Name, phone number, date, time, party size, seating preference and notes entered for a local reservation request
- Name, phone number, email, event date, guest estimate and event notes entered for a local catering inquiry
- Optional email address, rating and message entered in the local feedback screen
4. Information not collected
The app does not request or collect through runtime permissions:
- Precise or approximate device location
- Camera or microphone data
- Photos, gallery or storage contents
- Contacts
- SMS messages
- Phone-call logs
- Calendar data
- Bluetooth or nearby-device data
- Biometric data
- Push-notification permission
The app does not collect credit-card, debit-card, bank-account, digital-wallet or cryptocurrency information.
5. Local data storage
Favorites, pickup requests, reservation requests, catering inquiries, feedback notes, notification read states and app preferences are stored in the application's private SharedPreferences storage on the device. This information is used only to make local app features work.
6. Pickup requests and reservations
Pickup and reservation requests created in the app are local planning records. They are not transmitted to a restaurant backend. Users are clearly instructed to contact the restaurant directly to confirm current availability, orders or reservations.
7. Payments
The app does not integrate an online payment gateway. The pickup flow is presented as pay at restaurant / cash. No payment-card details are requested or stored.
8. Permissions
The application manifest requests no dangerous or runtime permissions. The app also does not declare INTERNET permission. Normal Android application-to-application actions may be used when the user chooses to call, email or open directions.
9. External phone, email and maps actions
If a user selects Call, Email or Directions, Android hands that action to a compatible external application chosen by the user. Any information handled by that external application is governed by the privacy practices of that application. Opening an external action does not itself transmit local Red Sea app records to the restaurant.
10. Third-party services
The app contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, social SDK, payment SDK or remote authentication SDK. AndroidX libraries are used only for standard Android application functionality.
11. Image and content sources
Food photographs are bundled inside the application. The project includes an IMAGE_ATTRIBUTIONS.txt file documenting source and license information. No image is loaded remotely at runtime.
12. Data sharing
Because the app does not transmit its local records to a backend, Red Sea does not share those local app records with advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers through this implementation.
13. Data retention
Local records remain on the device until the user clears them through the Settings screen, clears application data through Android settings, or uninstalls the app.
14. Data deletion
Users can open Settings and choose Clear local app data to remove locally stored favorites, pickup history, reservation requests, catering inquiries, feedback notes, read states and preferences. Android system settings and uninstalling the app also provide device-level data removal options.
15. Security
Local records are stored using Android application-private preferences. Users should still protect access to their devices because anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to open the app and view locally stored records.
16. Children’s privacy
The app is a restaurant information and planning utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly operate a remote system for collecting children’s personal information.
17. Alcohol information
The bar information screen is informational only and states that alcohol service is on-premise for guests age 21+ with valid identification. The app does not sell alcohol, allow alcohol pickup, or process alcohol payments.
18. User choices
Users may browse the menu and restaurant information without entering personal details. Local forms are optional. Users can clear local data at any time. Reduced-motion and larger-text settings are optional device-local preferences.
19. Changes to this policy
This policy should be updated if the application later adds a backend, online ordering, remote analytics, advertising, online payments, new permissions or any feature that changes data handling.
